Many volunteer hours went into building this bridge. 11,000 pounds of sakrete were moved by ATV’s up to the bridge site. In 4 hours it was all mixed and poured into the forms thanks to the 51 volunteers that showed up that day.
Over the course of 6 weeks the bridge was built on the Overlook trail spanning a swamp.

My friend and i went up yesterday with a map and missed this bridge completely. I have been a hiker for over 25 years there and have seen it before, but we made a wrong turn somewhere. We now have a goal for the summer of 2012!
