March 25, 2019 Annual dinner minutes: Andy Shinn president opened the meeting at 6:30 introducing Bryan Sell as our Executive Director. Moved into our Business portion of the meeting reviewing the budget and passing the new budget which passed 100%. Thank you landowners: Rutland City for Pine Hill Park Mr. and Mrs. Foley for the Redfield Trails and part of the Carriage Trail Rutland Country Club-Carriage Trail Proctor Library-Carriage Trail Omya-Carriage Trail Town of Proctor-Carriage Trail Reviewed 2018 happenings: Hired an Executive Director Volunteer hours total 2500 total of 81 days Built 1200’ of new trail with another 2600’ to go which will take at least two more years to complete. Children’s skill park at the front entrance Aaron’s Air had a feature added to it Cleaned brush out of front entrance Repaired mud holes on Sisyphus, Overlook, Droopy Muffin, Underdog Purchased a Snowdog to groom in the winter Maps-including the 2019 map we will have printed 50,000 maps Economic Impact: 1.3 million dollars in local spending generated by Pine Hill Park Community Work day: Saturday, April 27th, 9AM meet at the front entrance Velomont Trail: It’s coming down from Killington through Pine Hill Park and continuing on over to Slate Valley trails in Poultney. KMBC: Ben reported they will be starting a new trail over by Gifford Woods in August. Plus some new trails on Ohly’s property where the Mountain Meadows XC network in currently located. They will continue with the Bike Bum Race which they hope to generate $8,000 from to help offset some of the trail building costs. Green Mountain Trails: Matt reported a new trail coming this spring along with a returning event Slate Valley Trails: Nate Alexander reported 17 miles of trails currently with 12 miles being single track at The Fairgrounds. Woodstock-WAMBA trail group: Seth Westbrook joined us this year to bring us up to date with their trail systems at Aqueduct and Mt Peg. Aqueduct will be getting a parking lot this year along with some trail cleaning. Q&A: Karin McGrath asked about landowners and keeping them happy. Rebecca Mattis asked about accessibility on the pedestrian trails. She was asking if we could widen them. Deane Wilson asked if we would be interested in hosting a film from Ant Hill productions.
